Suggested to me by my best friend Ashlee, I'm now an adoring fan of the Skinnygirl Margarita created by Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel. I usually steer clear of the tequila concoction because of its ridiculous sugar and calorie count. But with only 100 calories per four ounce serving, I feel zero guilt indulging in a Skinnygirl rita. The cocktail is made with all natural ingredients, premium Blue Agave clear tequila and a tad of agave nectar for a touch of sweetness. What it's missing is preservatives, artificial colors and over 400 calories! If you like your margs super sweet, Skinnygirl isn't the drink for you. This rita is light and refreshing and surprisingly VERY STRONG. A little goes a long way, unlike so many pre-made alcoholic beverages. Double the bonus! Contact your local liquor store to see if they carry Skinnygirl. It took me four phone calls before I had any luck.Thursday, April 14, 2011

I saw it at the Costco on Richmond last Friday. FYI: you don't have to be a Costco member to shop in their liquor store.
